And while a good diet and a solid morning and night-time routine will do a great deal for your face, you can always go that extra mile and do a DIY face mask that will make your skin glow this spring. Here’s a couple of easy DIY face masks that you can whip up in a matter of minutes that will instantly perk up your complexion.
1. Soothing Oatmeal Mask
This DIY face mask is great for soothing inflamed skin. So whether you’ve got an acne breakout or perhaps your eczema is flaring up – this mask will help you out. All you need is 1/3 cup of instant oatmeal, 1/2 cup hot water, a tablespoon of honey and some plain, unsweetened yogurt. Let the instant oatmeal cook in the hot water until it’s done, then mix in the rest of ingredients and blend until it’s smooth. Apply it all over your face and leave it for about 10 minutes. After that, wash off and pat your face dry.
2. Cleansing Clay Mask
This DIY face mask is great if you’re looking to cleanse your pores and just get that squeaky clean feel to your face. Take 2 tablespoons of clay (you can buy this at a drugstore), 1 tablespoon of freshly squeezed grape juice and a teaspoon of extra virgin olive oil. Mix together and add some distilled water to thin it out a bit. Apply to your face and leave on for about 15 minutes. Once you wash it off you’ll feel much cleaner and your face will look much brighter.
3. Calming Mask That Helps With Rosacea
If you struggle with Rosacea you probably already know about this face mask. But just in case you don’t, here’s a recipe for a quick relief remedy. Take 1,5 tablespoons of dry instant oatmeal, 2 tablespoons of plain unsweetened yogurt, 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar and 1 teaspoon of honey. Blend together and then add a couple of tablespoons of hot strong-brewed tea until the consistency begins to resemble a smooth face mask. Apply gently to your face and leave for 10-15 minute. Wash off with warm or cold water.
