The Strain - The Most Anticipated TV Show Of The Summer

Probably most of us think the world has a huge variety of vampire series to choose from and doesn’t need another one. Agree? But DON’T be in a hurry to miss “The Strain”. It was actually created by two geniuses Chuck Hogan and monster pro Guillermo Del Toro. It means you won’t see a soul-stirring melodrama with tangled love stories like The Vampire Diaries, Twilight, or True Blood. You should expect for something really terrifying and mind-blowing. Gettng interested? The series shows us the true “beauty” of vampires and how scary these creatures are.

The Strain is a vampire horror-drama based on the novel trilogy of the same name. It is about Dr. “Eph” Ephraim Goodweather (played by Corey Stoll from House of Cards) and his CDC team in New York City. They need to investigate a situation that has all the signs of a viral outbreak, involving a mysterious plane that shut down after landing at John F. Kennedy International Airport. What Eph and his team see on board makes their blood run cold. All the lights are out and the doors are blocked…

They find two hundred bodies and just four persons who have managed to stay alive. The situation takes a turn for the worse when the corpses start disappearing from the morgue and the virus begins covering the city. Eph and his helpers aren’t quick to realize they’ve met something darker than just a virus, and that there are supernatural forces involved. Their goal is to protect not only their own families and friends, but the entire world as well.

So, get ready for some jaw-dropping drama and some hair-raising, blood curdlying scares, and you’ll definitely won’t see a soul-stirring drama with love triangles like The Vampire Diaries, Twilight, or True Blood. Looks like TV vampires are impressively terrifying again. This new thriller series is only for brave people. If you are weak-nerved don’t even try to watch it!
