This Year’s 10 Biggest Halloween Trends In Costumes And Makeup

Halloween is right around the corner and that means it’s time to start thinking about what your costume and makeup will be. The classics costumes like witch, ghost, pirate, zombie, vampire, cat etc are always a good last minute save, but we encourage you to think outside the box and be creative. Especially considering how many interesting things happened recently in real life, social media and how many movies have come out. Here are this year’s biggest Halloween trends.

1. God Is A Woman – Ariana Grande
This song is everywhere, it’s catchy, it’s by Ariana Grande and we’re all obsessed. The music video is insane and there’s so much there to be inspired by, but this purple makeup look will probably be the most impressive if you can recreate it. Thankfully James Charles has a tutorial you can follow.

2. Shuri from Black Panther
Who doesn’t want to be a sassy young princess from Black Panther? Whether you prefer her look in Black Panther or in the new Infinity War you can change the makeup accordingly, but this tutorial should be a great starting point either way.

3. Wonder Woman
Wonder Woman came out last year, but we’re still not over it, so we expect to see this as a popular costume and makeup look in 2018 too. And what’s not to like? I mean, it’s freaking Wonder Woman!

4. Meghan Markle
The Royal Wedding was the biggest thing that happened this year. And while usually it’s only Britain who cares about it, this year America was all over it, because Meghan Markle was marrying Prince Harry. And you know if America’s into it, the rest of the world follows. So if you want to recreate Meghan’s bridal look we totally support you in that decision.

5. Daenerys Targaryen
Everyone is anxiously waiting for the final season of Game of Thrones, so it makes sense that this Halloween you’ll see a lot of Khaleesi.

6. Fortnite
There’s no doubt about the fact that Fortnite characters are trending as Halloween costumes this year. So if you and your friends are into gaming – you can all pick a character and dress up as a group.

7.David Bowie
This legend might not be with us anymore, but you can show your love and appreciation for him by recreating the signature Ziggy Stardust look like @sarahmcgonagall did on Instagram.

8.Oil Slick
If you don’t want to limit yourself to a particular person or character this Halloween you can go for a more creative approach and attempt this oil slick look. Honestly, whatever you wear with this makeup look – it’ll look cool.

9.The Raver
If you want to be in with the kids – try this raver look. We hear raves are back and they’re here to stay. So this could be a Halloween look but also double as a rave look if you’re brave enough to rock it.

10. American Horror Story
American Horror Story is an endless source of inspiration for Halloween costumes and we think this particular one is incredibly cool and obviously very creepy and freaky. We’re pretty sure if you choose this you’ll win every costume contest.
