7. Baked apples with topping
4 big apples
1 tsp lemon juice
4 tbsp drawn butter
Ground cinnamon or nutmeg
Topping: 1 cup oats (uncooked) or 1 cup chopped nuts (for choice)
Preheat oven to 350°F. Cut the top of an apple, then cut out its core. Do not cut it all the way through. Sprinkle apples with lemon juice. Stuff the apples with chopped nuts or oats, butter and honey. Sprinkle them with cinnamon or nutmeg for your choice. Place apples in a baking dish, bake in preheated oven for about 20-30 minutes.
