Step 1: Eyeshadow primer

Nothing is worse than spending time on perfecting your makeup just for it to smear or smudge later. Pat primer to be sure your smokey eye lasts throughout the night.

Step 2: Concealer

If you are going to wear a dark eye above on your lids, you definitely don’t want to have any dark circles below your eyes. Blend concealer under the eye to reduce any shadowy or dark circles.

Step 3: Setting powder

Match up a translucent powder that matches your skin tone, and apply to with a fluffy brush. Once its set, dust of ever so slightly.

Step 4: Dark eyeshadow

From your lash line to your eye crease, apply a dark eyeshadow from a range of colors, then  apply it to your lower lash line with an angled brush. This is where you can get creative. Your smokey eye base doesn’t always have to be black. You can try navy blue, glowing brown, gray charcoal and even deep forest green.

Step 5: Smudging

After you’ve applied your dark eyeshadow, you want to ensure that you don’t have any harsh, detailed lines. Fan out your shadow by smudging with a Q-tip or a smudge brush, blending into the eye crease with a round motion. Also blend in to the lower lash line.

Step 6: Eyeliner

Give your lashes a good curl by clamping your lashes for three second with an eyelash curler. Repeat again until you achieve your desired look. For maximum output, try heating up your eyelash curler before use to make the lash curl last longer.
