It’s hella cute and we know you want to show off your man to the world, but the thing is, men, don’t really like taking those couple selfies that we love so much. They find the whole ordeal to be awkward, stages and incredibly annoying. In most cases, they just go along with it, but you never see them taking those selfies, do you? You can fool yourself into believing you’ve got the one man who actually doesn’t mind and loves couple selfies, but really he’s just better at pretending then the rest of the men and you should appreciate how much he loves you if he’s doing that.
2. Oversharing Online
Everyone’s a blogger these days, or so we’d like to believe. That’s why we keep sharing personal pictures and details of our private lives online. But really, no man wants you to share the personal information about how your relationship is going, no matter if it’s a post about how awesome everything is or how you’re going through a hard time. They’d rather you just keep the private things private.
3. Taking Ages To Get Ready
Great makeup looks take time and we know it. That eyeliner takes ages to look perfect and that seamlessly blended eyeshadow wasn’t achieved in 2 seconds. Contouring and highlighting takes time too and if you add a bright statement lip, it can take ages to get the lines all perfect. And let’s not even get started with how long putting together a seemingly effortless outfit can take. But men don’t get it, they just wish we got ready quickly. And the weird thing is, they can’t tell if you spent 2 hours or 2 minutes on a look unless you’re like doing a proper Halloween style cosplay thing.
4. Texting Your Friends When You’re On A Date
Those inside jokes are hilarious and it’s natural wanting to share something interesting with your friends, but when you’re on a date with your man he’d really appreciate it if you stayed in the moment and gave him your undivided attention. You can send those texts later and put away your phone altogether, please.
5. Spilling Secrets To Your BFF
You know how we were talking before about not oversharing online? Well, men kinda feel the same about spilling secrets to your BFF. Yeah, we know that’s what BFFs are for, but maybe you could at least try and not tell them absolutely every embarrassing detail about your boyfriend. They’d really appreciate that.
6. Making Him Hang Out With Your Friends
We all want our friends and loved ones to get along, but wanting everyone to become best buds and forcing them to spend time together doesn’t really work. We’re sure your boyfriend likes your friends but he probably has way less in common with them than you do. He hasn’t known them for years and he doesn’t get all the inside jokes, which can make him feel a bit left out. So we’re not saying he should never join you when you’re out with friends, but don’t force him to hang out with them, ok?
7. Making Him Stop Seeing Certain People
Listen there’s always that one friend you don’t really like, or that weird girl that he seems to have known since childhood and they’re best friends but she’d giving you weird vibes. But you can’t make him stop seeing certain people just because you don’t like them, they’re his friends. You have to accept that he’s got his own little gang of friends and they’re a package deal.
8. Distracting Him At Work
Texting during the day is a nice way to keep in touch, but sometimes it can be quite distracting, especially if he’s having a hard day at work. We know you mean well, but if he’s not answering it’s probably cause he’s busy and doesn’t have the time. Don’t nag him, because in the worst-case scenario instead of brightening his day and reminding him you love him you’ll just end up making him angry every time his phone vibrates instead.
9. Trying To Change Him
Every woman thinks she can change her man, improve him, get rid of his bad habits. But only some of it is true. You can improve the good qualities in him and attempt to minimize his bad habits, but you can’t fundamentally change a man. If he’s a chill guy who likes to have a beer on a Saturday while watching sports with his mates, you can’t make him become a guy who goes to fancy restaurants all the time, while wearing a jumper tied around his neck. You know what I mean?
10. Saying His Mom Hates You
Getting along with his mom is important, but if you feel like she doesn’t really like you, you shouldn’t complain to your boyfriend about it. Men tend to be weird about their mom’s approval. So if they haven’t figured out by now that their mom is rude – convincing them is useless and will only make him upset.
