Some of these women didn’t plan to be single mothers, it just turned out this way, others made a conscious choice to raise their kids alone for one reason or another. We think all of them deserve a spotlight, some attention, and a whole lot of gratitude. But today we’re going to talk about 9 Hollywood moms who are raising their kids solo.
1. Mindy Kaling
Mindy Kaling is a great example of a Hollywood single mom. But she’s rather an exception that the rule. She’s a single mother, but we have no idea who the father is, and she has no plans to reveal it to the public. What we do know is that she is single, this is her choice and that she loves being a mother. More power to you, Mindy, you’re incredible!
2. JLo
So it’s not a secret that Jennifer Lopez had twins with Mark Anthony, but since their split she’s been raising them alone and doing an amazing job. We can’t even imagine how she finds time for herself between two kids and her busy work schedule, but this lady proves that you can do it all and look amazing while doing it.
3. Charlize Theron
Charlize Theron shows us that if you want to be a mother you don’t need a husband or a boyfriend. She has adopted both of her children and says she always knew this is what her family would look like and she’s very happy about it.
4. Angelina Jolie
Say what you want about Angelina Jolie, her relationship history and acting abilities, but one thing is for sure – this woman adores her children and is a wonderful mother. She adopted three children and had three with Brad Pitt. Since their divorce she requested physical custody of all 6 of her kids and while it’s unclear exactly what arrangement they reached, we have no doubt that she’s a wonderful single mom.
5. Katie Holmes
Katie Holmes is very realistic in her approach to being a single mom. According to her, she takes great comfort in having a lot of girlfriends who have kids and it’s a great source of support for her. She leans on them in times of need and just does the best she can.
6. Sandra Bullock
Sandra never planned to be a single mother. But since the divorce, she’s been really embracing single parenthood and even adopted another baby, this time a girl.
7. Jenna Dewan
Jenna Dewan and Channing Tatum split up last year and we’re still not over it. It was the most peaceful and amicable split in history of Hollywood and it happened after 9 years of marriage. We still can’t believe how well they’ve dealt with it, but Jenna is a single mom now and she says she knew she could do it, because she was raised by a single mom and it’s what gave her strength and belief in her abilities.
8. Blac Chyna
Blac Chyna has two kids from two different guys, but she’s still a single mom. That doesn’t seem to bother her at all. She’s doing a splendid job and seems to love being a good mom. She often shares pictures of herself with kids on her social media and dedicates posts to them.
9. Denise Richards
Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen split up a while ago, and she’s been a single mom ever since. But not only did she succeed in bringing up their 2 kids, she even adopted another kid after the divorce. That’s the spirit, Denise!
