It appears that despite the pandemic and the weird state of affairs the world seems to be in, there’s still hope. A lot of celebs are announcing pregnancies right now, and we’re fully expecting a baby boom headed our way as a consequence of the quarantine measures. It’s strange to think that there will be a whole generation of pandemic babies soon, but nonetheless, it’s a moment of happiness during a crazy time. And we definitely need more happy moments in 2020. Let’s take a look at some celebs who have recently announced their pregnancies, or even gave birth during quarantine.
1. Rose Leslie
Rose Leslie, who you all know from “Game of Thrones” has recently announced to the world that she’s expecting her first child with her husband Kit Harington, a.k.a Jon Snow. She gave a special announcement in Make Magazine and even shared photos of her baby bump with readers and fans. In her interview, she shared that she’s been spending a lot of time in the countryside of Scotland, in an old house. It’s far away from the city and she’s been loving it. Sounds like a beautiful and peaceful place to be expecting a child.
2. Mandy Moore
Mandy Moore and her husband Taylor Goldsmith are also expecting a child. They’re very excited about it, but Mandy has been candid, sharing on her Instagram that it hasn’t been easy. The first 15 weeks of pregnancy were difficult for her, and she’s been suffering from a lot of different food aversions. Even though she agrees that it’s a small price to pay, it’s still not a pleasant thing to deal with.
3. Sophie Turner
If you’re a fan of Sophie Turner, you know that she’s been showing off her baby bump while on quarantine walks with her husband Joe Jonas. She’s been private about her pregnancy and hasn’t really talked about it, but she wasn’t trying to hide it. Well, it looks like Sophie gave birth to a baby girl this summer in late July, and according to TMZ, they named her Willa.
4. Rachel McAdams
Rachel McAdams and her boyfriend Jamie Linden are expecting their second child. They already have a son, who is two years old. Rachel was very private about her first pregnancy and never revealed the name of her son to the public, but she did say that she’s very happy to be a mother and that it’s the best thing that has ever happened to her. We can only assume that she’ll be just as private about it the second time around!
5. Emma Roberts
Emma Roberts, who we all instantly recognize as the star of “American Horror Story”, is pregnant and expecting her first child with boyfriend Garrett Hedlund. She announced her pregnancy on Instagram and captioned it saying it was her and her two favorite guys. So it’s fair to assume she’s expecting a baby boy, right?
6. Gigi Hadid
We found out about Gigi’s pregnancy during quarantine, and now she’s proving to be a wonderful mom already. Zayn Malik, who’s the baby’s father and Gigi’s partner, has already shared a photo of his daughter’s little hand on his Instagram. In the caption, he says he’s blown away and the love he feels for his daughter is beyond anything he’s ever felt before. The couple hasn’t shared their baby’s name yet. They want some time alone with her, and Gigi wants to be able to raise her daughter in privacy without the crazy attention from the media.
7. Rooney Mara
Rooney Mara and Joaquin Phoenix have welcomed their first child at the end of September. Rooney gave birth to a baby boy and it looks like they named him River, after Joaquin’s brother. Joaquin lost his brother in 1993, so naming their baby after him is a lovely gesture and a great way to remember him by.
8.Emma Stone
Emma Stone is normally private when it comes to her personal life. She’s not really on social media, and she’s not the type of person to announce personal news. It was her boyfriend who posted a photo of their engagement rings, and that’s how we found out. Recently Emma has been seen out in LA with her boyfriend. She was wearing a pair of baggy overalls that made it looked like she might have a baby bump. Nothing’s been confirmed yet, but it’s definitely possible that she’s been getting busy during her quarantine.
