We always think that the richest celebrities are those who act in the biggest films, or perhaps those who are heirs to huge fortunes. But these days it looks like reality shows are the things that earn the most. They attract the most sponsors, deals and make millions in ad revenue. Some reality stars get paid millions just for mentioning a certain product on their social media. It’s not that surprising that half of the list of richest reality stars is made up by members of the Kardashian/Jenner family. However, you might be surprised by which of them is at the bottom of the list, we certainly were.

1. Kylie Jenner

She started her career on the family reality show Keeping Up With The Kardashians, but quickly made a name for herself and started a very successful business with her Kylie lip kits. These days she has a range of makeup and beauty products and is the highest paid celebrity on social media. She literally gets $1 million per Instagram post and we all know that at 21 she’s the younget billionaire of all time.

2. Simon Cowell

The cruelest and snarkiest of reality show judges, Simon Cowell, takes second place on our list of richest reality show celebs. He’s best known for being the meanest judge on the American Idol for 9 seasons straight, and then he moved on to do the same thing on The X Factor. Who knew that being mean to people attempting to sing can make you a $570 million fortune.

3. Ryan Seacrest

At this point, you can pretty much call Ryan Seacrest reality show host veteran. He started his career hosting kid’s game shows and became most known for becoming the host of American Idol, a gig he did for 14 years from the first episode in 2002 to the last in 2016. He’s definitely the best-paid host in television and now has his own production company. What you might not know is that he’s also the executive producer on Keeping Up With The Kardashians. His fortune amounts to around $410 million these days.

4. Jamie Oliver

Most people know who Jamie Oliver is and dream of visiting one of his restaurants all over the world. He’s one of the most famous chefs and is best known for making amazing and delicious Italian dishes. If you want yummy pizzas or the best pasta you’ve ever tasted – Jamie Oliver is your guy. He even has a deal with most supermarkets, so you can buy his famous pasta sauces in most countries. His reality cooking show first aired in 1999 and was called The Naked Chef. As of 2019, his fortune amounts to $400 million.

5. Kim Kardashian

Are you surprised that arguably the most well known of the Kardashians is 5th on our list? Don’t feel too bad, the queen of reality TV has a fortune of $350 million and it’s growing every day. She earned a lot of her riches from Keeping Up With The Kardashians, but she’s also a savvy businesswoman who has a makeup line called KKW beauty, a mobile game called Kim Kardashian Takes Hollywood and a children’s clothing line. Not to mention that her social media following also earns her lots of money too.

6. Paris Hilton

We haven’t heard much about Paris Hilton in ages, but she’s staying firmly put in 6th place on our list of rich reality TV stars. Being born into riches Paris really didn’t have to do much to make a name for herself. Instead, she became known for her luxurious and glamorous socialite life. She had her reality show called The Simple Life that ran for 5 seasons and she made a lot of appearances on TV. She also has her own line of perfumes and clothing. All in all her fortune amounts to $300 million and it’s not gonna run dry any time soon considering she’s a descendant of the Hilton empire.

7. Gordon Ramsay

Gordon Ramsay also made a name for himself being one of the meanest reality TV chefs ever. He’s known for being a very strict food critic but he’s also an extraordinarily talented chef. You probably know this British chef best from his American shows like Hell’s Kitchen, MasterChef and The F-word. But he’s also had quite a few shows in Britain called Gordon Ramsay on Cocaine, Culinary Genius, Gordon Behind Bars, Gordon’s Great Escape and Ultimate Cookery Show. He also has restaurants all over the world and has started his own production company.  He’s one of the richest reality TV chefs and his fortune amounts to $190 million.

Caitlyn Jenner’s fortune is estimated at $100 million these days. Back in the day, she won the gold medal in the Summer Olympic decathlon in 1976, then had a pretty successful run on Keeping Up With The Kardashians up until the split with Kris. After coming out as a transgender woman she also got her own reality show called I Am Cait, but that only ran for 1 season.

9. Lisa Vanderpump

Lisa Vanderpump is a massive reality TV star, actress, author and all in all a very talented woman. You probably know her best from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.  But since then she got her own spin-off show called Vanderpump Rules and has appeared on Dancing With The Stars. Lisa and her husband also own 36 restaurants in London and Los Angeles and as of this year, her net worth is $75 million.

10. Kris Jenner

We know, it’s pretty weird that the mastermind behind Keeping Up With Kardashians and the famous momager is last on this list but $60 million isn’t bad at all. Kris has a prominent role on KUWTK but isn’t usually in the limelight. She’s not one to launch makeup lines or be on the covers of magazines, but she does get 10% of everything her kids do. And considering she has 6 millionaire kids, she’s a pretty good mom, don’t you think?
