12 Real Housewives Who Left The Franchise

The Real Housewives of *insert every city here* has been on the air for a long time and it’s not going anywhere. The series has lots of drama, fights, emotions running high and sharp words to bring down your worst enemy. In short – everything to make them popular with the viewers (addicting even). The network, in turn, makes sure to rotate the cast, to keep things new and fresh, put an end to some drama that gets out of control or add some oil to the dumpster fires when the ratings need it. So let’s take a look at some of the most memorable Real Housewives.

1. Denise Richards

Denise announced that she’s leaving The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills in the autumn of 2020. The reason behind it? Too much drama and conflict centered around her. Who would’ve thought, right?

2. Lisa Vanderpump

You’ve heard of Lisa Vandepump even if you haven’t watched The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. She announced she’s quitting the show for good in the summer of 2019. She was accused of feeding the media misinformation and negative stories about her castmate, which she denied.

3. Teddi Mellencamp

This famous housewife disappeared from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills after petitions started circulating the internet about getting her off the show. Her weight loss program had people restricting their calories way too low and people were not happy with her, so no wonder the network decided to terminate her contract. She announced it on Instagram saying she was surprised and upset and that it felt almost like a breakup.

4. Tinsley Mortimer

Tinsley of the Real Housewives of New York was one of the lucky ladies who left the show on good terms and for a happy reason. She was moving to another city to be with her fiance. She thanked the show for her fairytale ending and said that without it she never would’ve met her Prince Charming.

5. Vicki Gunvalson

Vicky was one of the original Real Housewives and has been on The Real Housewives of Orange County for 14 seasons. That’s got to be a record of some sort. However, she left the show after season 14. Vicki has been experiencing a lot of tension with the network during the last season and has even been demoted and not given her own storyline. In the end, it was best for her to move on.

6. NeNe Leakes

Nene Leakes is a legend from The Real Housewives of Atlanta. This lady managed to leave the show twice. First to try and establish an acting career outside of Real Housewives, and the second time, to start her Youtube channel.

7. Kim Zolciak-Biermann

Kim was on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, and her exit must’ve been one of the most abrupt ones in the history of the show. She literally left in the middle of filming a scene and quiet there and then. We also have to remind you that she was pregnant at the time. What an exit.

8. Danielle Staub

Danielle Staub is known for being dramatic. She’s flipped tables, pulled hairs, and got sued, all of which was very entertaining to watch. She even managed to leave The Real Housewives of New Jersey twice. She was fired once and she left on her own terms the other time. Will she ever be back? It’s hard to tell. She said she’ll never be back on the show with the Jersey cast, but does that mean she’ll move and join a different cast?

9. LeeAnne Locken

This Dallas Housewife has left the show after uttering some truly racist comments about her castmate. No wonder the network decided to drop her. What a disgraceful way to leave a show.

10. Jill Zarin

Jill was fired after 4 seasons of The Real Housewives of New York. Apparently, there was just too much drama and the network wanted to rebrand the show, so Jull and a few other castmates had to go.

11. Yolanda Hadid

Yes, the mother of supermodels Bella and Gigi Hadid, has been a regular on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for three seasons. However, her struggle with Lyme disease made it hard to continue with the show and she left. We’re pretty sure she’s doing fine as the mother of two supermodels.

12. Kenya Moore

Kenya is a former Miss USA and a long-running cast member of the Real Housewives of Atlanta. She’s quite a troublemaker and many viewers see her as a shady character, but that just adds to the show. She skipped season 11 due to some troublesome contract issues with the network but returned for season 12.
