How often do you see celebrities on the red carpet wearing incredibly designer dresses and wish you could wear something like that? H&M and Giambattista Valli have announced about their collaboration and we can’t wait for it. The announcement happened at the Foundation for AIDS Research gala in Cannes, France. Giambattista Valli himself and H&M’s Creative Advisor Ann-Sofie Johansson appeared on the red carpet together with celebrities including Kendall Jenner, Chris Lee, H.E.R and a few others dressed the new unique limited collection pieces form the upcoming collaboration.
The new collaborative collection will feature amazing and glamorous party dresses, and also some very stunning tailored pieces for men.
This is actually the first time Giambattista Valli is venturing into menswear and it’s pretty exciting.
When talking to Vogue about the new project, H&M’s Anne-Sofie said: “We are thrilled to collaborate with Giambattista Valli, he is the undisputed master of haute couture with a knack for the memorable silhouette.”
Giambattista Valli, in turn, said that the idea of this project is to bring the Valli DNA of extraordinary, one-of-a-kind uniqueness of couture into H&M. “We have our fans and they see all these beautiful moments on the red carpet, Valli girls at official events. It’s a nice way to share this flavour with them” said Valli in his interview. He also shared that he’s very excited about this new collaboration because “H&M gives me the opportunity to bring my vision of style and my celebration of beauty to a wider audience. The goal is to share my love for beauty and to be able to be a part of everyone’s ‘happy moments’, to help create love stories around the world”.
The first limited edition pieced from this exciting collaboration has been available since the 25th of May, and the second much larger part of the collection will be available in H&M’s around the world this autumn, starting November 7th. We all know that Giambattista Valli pieces usually cost thousands of dollars, so naturally, a lot of people are wondering if they’ll be able to afford anything from this collection.
We assure you that the answer to that question is YES. Some of the pieces you’ll be able to buy start as low as 20$, so everyone will be able to buy it. The prices do go up to $650 if you’re willing to shell out that much for a special occasion dress, which we still think is very decent considering it’s designed by Giambattista Valli.
