Everyone wants that natural Kylie Jenner plumpness to their lips, but most of us can’t accomplish that without a store-bought lip plumper or some sort of lip plumper device. Get that youthful look at home for cheap with these natural lip plumper recipes that add volume. Just because you can buy it at Sephora doesn’t mean that it’s the best lip plumper device available – these DIY versions are just as effective.

1. Cayenne, clove and cinnamon lip plumper

This recipe, know as the spicy plumper, involves blending olive, coconut or jojoba oil with 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves, and 1/4 teaspoon cayenne powder. These ground substances can be replaced with essential oils. Blend it all and lightly massage on your lips, leaving for 10 minutes before you rinse it off.

2. Cocoa butter, olive oil and cinnamon lip plumper

This natural lip plumper hydrates while adding the illusion of collagen. Simply blend a tablespoon of melted, raw cocoa butter with a teaspoon of olive oil and 8 drops of cinnamon essential oil for a plumping but hydrating effect. After it cools, apply and rinse off after 10 minutes.

3. Peppermint plumping gloss

Lip gloss already makes lips look plumper, so why not enhance the plumping power with some minty goodness that tingles on the lips and smells good? Simply add six drops of peppermint oil to unscented lip gloss with 1/8 of cayenne powder, mixing with the lip gloss.

4. Portable lip plumper

This plumping balm makes large and beautiful lips on-the-go a reality. Take a tube of your favorite lip balm and melt it, mixing in 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon oil. Once it cools, you have a homemade plumping chopstick for what can cost double digits.

5. Sensitive skin brown sugar and coconut oil plumper

Great for those who can’t handle the spicy recipes, or who just want a less abrasive exfoliating treatment to add to their natural lip plumping routine. Place a tablespoon of coconut or another moisturizing oil and some brown sugar into a bowl. Dip a clean toothbrush in and gently brush lips in a circular motion for 3-5 minutes, rinsing off with cool water.

6. Beeswax and cinnamon lip plumper

The beeswax is a fantastic and gentle moisturizer, and when blended with olive oil, you can use this as a daily balm without needing to remove it.  Melt and blend 5 teaspoons olive oil with 1 teaspoon beeswax, adding cinnamon oil and mixing well. Transfer to a small container and voila!

7. Colored lip plumper

Want the power of a lipstick and a plumper all in one? Get mistaken for an IG influencer with this recipe. Take your favorite colored lipstick or balm and place it in a bowl, adding 8 drops of cinnamon oil.  Microwave for 30 seconds, mix, cool, and apply with a lip wand or q-tip.

8. Rosemary oil and olive oil lip plumper

Some simply don’t like the taste of cinnamon or peppermint, and for those folks, we suggest blending a teaspoon of rosemary oil with a tablespoon of olive or another type of hydrating oil. It adds an herbal and botanical essence while getting the plumping job done.

9. Honey and almond glossy lip plumper

Melt 1 tablespoon of coconut oil with 1/2 tablespoon of beeswax pellets, finally adding 2 teaspoons almond oil into the mix. Now, add 1 teaspoon of raw honey with a couple of drops of cinnamon oil, mixing well.
