This Author Claims Meghan Markle Is Bitter About Kate Middleton Amid Diagnosis

The Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton feud has been long-running. It was bubbling under the surface even before Prince Harry and Meghan left royal life. So it’s natural to wonder: How does Meghan feel about Kate’s shocking cancer diagnosis?

Although Kate is going through some major health struggles at the moment, it seems like even the diagnosis isn’t enough for Meghan to forgive her and let go of how the Princess of Wales treated her.

Meghan and Harry learned about Kate’s cancer diagnosis at the same time as the rest of the public, and since there’s so much unresolved bad blood between them and the royal family, this isn’t too surprising.

Getting a heads up on the situation was probably hurtful to Meghan and Harry, but still, they reached out to Kate on their own privately. Publicly, they released a statement saying “We wish health and healing for Kate and the family, and hope they are able to do so privately and in peace.”

Despite this supposedly amicable statement, royal author Tom Quinn believes that Meghan still feels resentful towards Kate, even after the diagnosis. He told Mirror, “Kate’s cancer diagnosis has been a real shock for Meghan, but she can see no way to patch up the relationship simply because it has become so poisonous.” Quinn added, “Meghan doesn’t feel guilty about Kate, because she feels that Kate should’ve been the one person in the Royal Family to back her against every difficulty.”

Despite the feud, Harry wants to make up

Based on her statements, it’s clear that Meghan Markle wished her story took a different trajectory when she married into the royal family, and Kate Middleton could have played a pivotal role in ensuring things went differently.

Quinn reflected that Meghan still believes Kate was wrong and that she deserves an apology before they can try to repair the broken relationship. Meghan doesn’t want rumors swirling that she only made up with Kate because of the cancer, and based on what sources say about Kate’s feelings, it doesn’t look like the conflict will be resolved anytime soon.

Journalist Omid Scobie told Vanity Fair that Kate still feels hurt by Meghan and continues to “jokingly shiver” whenever her sister-in-law is mentioned in conversation.

Although there’s no doubt this damage will be difficult to repair, Quinn commented that Harry intends to mend things with his sister-in-law and misses what he calls their “warm, uncomplicated relationship.” Still, he feels torn between being loyal to his wife and feeling regret about losing a family member that he was previously very close to.

According to Quinn, losing Kate was almost as traumatic as losing his mother, calling it Harry’s “second great loss.”

Despite his supposed wishes to visit his sister-in-law and reconcile, Kate and William aren’t interested. Apparently, they don’t want the “drama” that would come along with seeing Harry. If these in-laws ever want to get back to a good place, they have a long road ahead of them.
