Noa Jansma, a design student from Netherlands, chose to take a stand. She decided to take pictures of people that catcalled her on the streets of Eindhoven and post them on Instagram. Her project #dearcatcallers got over 300k followers in a month and while most people understood the reasoning behind it, others accused her of just wanting attention.

Someone on the internet thought it would be ok to photoshop black celebrities with white skin and saying they would be prettier.

Hurricane Irma did some serious destruction – over 25% of homes in the Florida Keys were totally flattened. But where there is a powerful natural disaster, there is a powerful community who will persevere in rebuilding and making their ruined land strong again. So we still have hope. The Women’s March happened on the 21st of January and originally was meant to be a Washington centered protest with hopes of it spreading across the whole of USA, but it surpassed everyone’s expectations by spreading worldwide. People across the world came out in support of Women’s March, expressing their views and feelings about Trumps presidency, and more importantly, showing their belief in women’s and LGBTQ+ rights.
