15 Iconic Movie Dresses You Wish You Could Wear

I’ll be the first to admit I don’t really follow the world of fashion. I don’t watch fashion shows, most of the time I’m not aware of what happened on the most famous runways and I’m still not sure exactly when do new collections come out and what renowned fashion houses started what fashion trends. But I do watch a lot of movies and that’s where I get my fashion fix. Whoever is in charge of dressing up people in movies they must know what they’re doing, because once in a while you’ll watch a movie and see a dress so beautiful you will become obsessed with it. You know you probably won’t be able to find it, won’t be able to afford it and chances are you won’t have an occasion or the body type to wear it, but man do you wish you could because it’s so freaking glorious. So today let’s take a look at some iconic movie dresses that we never knew we always wanted.

Keira Knightly – Atonement

This gorgeous green dress looks like it was made specially for Keira. It’s so simple yet so elegant and that shade of green is possibly the most beautiful green I’ve ever seen.

Grace Kelly – To Catch a Thief

Another Grace Kelly classic, but this time it’s from To Catch A Thief. This is one of those dresses we all kind of think we can recreate by just wrapping some blue material around us in a fashionable way, but really it’s impossible.

Richard Gere and Julia Roberts, an unforgettable soundtrack and a truly spectacular red dress – now that’s a recipe for a good movie. How come we don’t wear white gloves with dresses anymore? That’s a trend we should go back to.

Dakota Johnson – 50 Shades Darker

Another slip dress on the list over here, but Dakota’s dress is silver. It’s also amazing how easily you can dress a slip dress up by wearing a feather cape and dress it down by taking it off.
